I build too many EDH decks (or Commander as it is now called). I'm a casual player with a limited budget, but I try to build my decks to a reasonable power level for a casual environment. This blog is where I plan on sharing them and any other thoughts I might have about Magic in general.

Dragon tribal, here we go. This guy is an EDH nightmare, I can see it now. Straight up, he’s not bad. ETB, do one damage to a creature or player, and a 4/4 firebreather for 5. Not terrible. But I can only assume this means we’ll see Dragon Hatchling again, meaning this guy can do some damage if he’s not answered. He’s pretty cool, albeit very situational. I hope I manage to crack one or two.
I think i’m going to need a foil colossal whale. I need to make a sea-friends EDH deck with lorthos, the tidemaker as my general

Apparently, Modern Masters boxes/boosters are only being given away to people who participate in Modern Tournaments at the only major branded LGS here. Kinda hard to get excited with such a limited supply. :|(no preorders were allowed, and upon release, you aren’t even allowed to purchase boosters.)
My friend and I were looking at getting boxes because it’d be fun to draft, but the price is ridiculous. I guess we won’t now.

Looks like an upgrade on Rowen. I wonder if they’ve intentionally gone through looking for a bunch of old cards to fiddle with for this set? I can definitely see myself running this in a couple of decks…
Wow. It loses the cantrip from Scout’s Warning but with the counter and the “can’t be countered,” it looks powerful.
