I made some changes to the Kurkesh list I talked about a month ago, and I think it’s been streamlined into a pretty solid combo build (qualifier: for a Red deck). Here’s the new list.

After playing with it for a bit, the deck is predictably weak to artifact destruction, although you…

Alright, now before I begin, I’m going to give everyone a heads up and say that reading through this will be a LOT easier if you have the AutocardAnywhere extension for Google Chrome. If you don’t have it already, get it. It makes Magic-ing and internet-ing so much easier.

Now, onto Geralf:

Then there’s the thing with Jeskai’s Prowess.

Turn after summoning a creature with Prowess, unsummon an opponent’s creature, shock your opponent’s weenie for two mana, then swing at them for three with Jeskai Elder.

But that’s a bad example. Jeskai seems vulnerable to burn spells and removal, but counters seem more like their thing. I can expect low-drop spells in the set to back them up, but I may be thinking wishfully. I hope this is the guild with the djinn.

I can see myself playing this triad. Haha. Annoying the shit out of my opponent by taking their creatures whilst boosting mine at the same time.

I make a mean Boros EDH, a meaner Azorius deck, and a damn mean Izzet deck. If I hadn’t my eye on Temur and Sultai, Jeskai would be my first choice.
